INDEX Joe Espada is a multidisciplinary artist whose primary medium is drawing. His practice extends drawing into video, performance, photography, installation, and writing, often allowing these mediums to overlap and speak to one another. Grounded in personal experience, his work explores the slow process of noticing inner experiences and finding ways to translate what is difficult to articulate into different materials and forms. Through this process, drawing becomes a starting point rather than an endpoint, allowing ideas and feelings to transform and take on new forms.

Joe is a recipient of the Lise-Hélène Larin Scholarship in Drawing and has exhibited his work in Montréal.
