“You are what you eat”
We live inside the same flavours of experience, the same small orbit of faces, touching and being touched in ways that feel new but are not. We take each other in, through love, through want, through habit, and then we pass each other on, changed but not changed enough.
Desire begins to look less like hunger and more like consumption.
Not a single feast, but a cycle.
The same appetite dressed in different skin. We reach, we taste, we swallow, we become. Then we are tasted in turn.
A promise of renewal that is also a confession of repetition. Nothing disappears. It just moves through.
Use becomes reuse.
We flavour each other.
We feed each other.
We inherit hungers that were there before we arrived. A shared appetite older than any body, moving through us, asking to be filled again and again.
